Residential Warranty

The Warranties described below are given to the original registered Residential purchaser or a duly registered assignee with documentation verifying the original purchase (see limited warranty) and are SUBJECT TO THE PROCEDURES, DISCLAIMERS AND EXCLUSIONS SET FORTH HEREIN. The Warranties cover only approved product applications by professional installers who follow the installation guidelines set forth by N.O.F.M.A. and the N.W.F.A.
Pre- Installation Requirement
It is the responsibility of the installer/purchaser to inspect each plank prior to installation. Natural wood characteristics, such as grain, knots, cracks, color variations, mineral streaks, etc. are not considered defects. Gentry Hardwood Floors are manufactured in accordance with accepted industry standards, which permit a grade/manufacturing defect tolerance not to exceed 5%. We accept no responsibility or liability for costs incurred when a floor with visible defects has been installed or for the installation of defective planks. In the event defective flooring is discovered, stop and contact the seller immediately.

Gentry Hardwood Floors warrants to the original purchaser that its finish will not wear through or separate from the wood for 30 years from the original date of purchase on its pre-finished floors coated with the Advanced Ceramic Oxide finish, when used in normal residential traffic conditions. The Warranty is activated when the original purchaser submits a completed warranty card that is supplied by the seller or available from the Gentry Web Site. The Warranty can be transferred from the original purchaser to a subsequent purchaser for the remaining duration of the Warranty period, providing the original purchase was registered as provided above. Restrictions: The Warranty must be registered by the original purchaser at the time of purchase/installation. The Warranty must be re-registered by the subsequent purchaser. The subsequent purchaser is to contact Gentry at the address in the Gentry Warranty Protection provision below and acquire a re-registration card, which must be completed and submitted to Gentry within 60 days of the closing of the sale of the property. Use of floor care products other than those especially formulated for use on hardwood floors may damage your floor and void the warranty.

Gentry Hardwood Floors warrants to the original purchaser that its Aluminum Oxide finish will not wear through or separate from the wood for 25 years, from the original date of purchase, on all its pre-finished products, when used in normal residential traffic conditions. Restrictions: the original purchaser must register The Warranty at the time of purchase/installation. This warranty is limited to the original purchaser and is not transferable. Use of floor care products other than those especially formulated for use on hardwood floors may damage your floor and void the warranty.

Gentry warrants all its products, in their original manufactured condition, will be free from defects in milling, dimension, and grading for the lifetime of the floor when properly installed and maintained in accordance with standards set forth by N.O.F.M.A. and the N.W.F.A. Restrictions: Structural integrity does not cover the normal expansion and contraction that wood floors will experience through different temperature and humidity changes of the year. Cupping or crowning due to excessive moisture or humidity is not covered by this warranty.

In the event any portion of your floor should fail, with respect to the provisions of these warranties, Gentry Hardwood Floors, at its sole option, will repair, refinish, or replace such portion, at no cost to you, with the same product or another product of equal value. Should we be unable to correct the failure after a reasonable number of attempts, Gentry Hardwood Floors will refund, if requested, the purchase price for that portion of the floor that fails. If You Feel You Have a Claim: First, contact the retailer where the original purchase was made. If the retailer is unable to provide satisfaction, contact us at: Gentry Hardwood Floors, 2350 S. All claims must include a verification of the original purchase including the customer’s name, the address where the flooring was installed and the dates of sale and installation. For Warranty claims to be honored, a completed Warranty card must have been submitted and on file with Gentry. Gentry Hardwood Floors reserves the right to have an independent N.O.F.M.A. or N.W.F.A. inspector or designated representative inspect your floor and/or remove samples for technical analysis and prepare a report describing the cause of the failure.

Gentry warranties do not cover wear through of finished surface areas less than or equal to 10% of the total floor surface area. Gentry warranties do not cover indentations, scratches, stains or damage caused by negligence, fire, water, moisture, excessive heat or excessive dryness, extreme cold, erosion, pebbles, sand, or other abrasives, pet nails, insects, shoes, weather conditions or natural disasters, failure to follow proper installation procedures, improper maintenance, wet mopping, insufficient protection, misuse, or improper alterations of the original factory product. Natural expansion and contraction resulting in minor separations between boards or damage caused by low or excessive humidity are not covered. Color variations in wood are a natural occurrence, Gentry Hardwood Floors is not responsible for matching new flooring to display samples; existing flooring, trim or moldings etc. Gloss reduction is not considered surface wear. Natural wood characteristics such as variations in grain, color, and knots, are not considered defects. Exposure to sunlight will cause changes in shading of any wood floor as it ages; this is not a product defect, some exotic woods are especially photo & UV sensitive. This document is the complete and exclusive statement of the express warranties provided herein. There are no implied warranties extending beyond the terms of the warranty contained in this document. Gentry Hardwood Floors assumes no liability for incidental or consequential damages. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state. The sole remedy provided herein is the repair, refinish or replacement of defective products, or refund for defective products.
